Senior Architect, ASIC Digital Design

Role Overview

As a Senior Architect at Synopsys, you will play a critical role in defining and driving the global architecture strategy for advanced mixed-signal SoCs and next-generation SerDes/PHY IP.

Position Summary

Your leadership, both strategic and hands-on, will help cultivate a culture of technical excellence and innovation while mentoring senior staff and principal engineers throughout the organization.

Experience Level

This position requires over 20 years of experience in ASIC digital design and mixed-signal SoC architecture, with notable technical leadership at a director or fellow level.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive Synopsys’ global architecture strategy for advanced mixed-signal SoCs and next-generation SerDes/PHY IP.
• Set technical direction and governance for design, emulation, and system validation across multiple product lines and project teams.
• Lead the design and deployment of scalable verification environments and methodologies.
• Innovate hardware emulation strategies to accelerate time-to-market for complex SoCs.
• Mentor senior staff to promote technical growth within the team.
• Serve as a technical interface for strategic customers, delivering architectural guidance.
• Champion continuous improvement in design quality and functional safety through data analytics.

Qualifications

Prospective candidates should possess recognized expertise in SerDes and PHY IP, strong proficiency in hardware emulation, and experience driving automation improvements.

Education Requirements

A Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is preferred.
