Senior Applications Engineer

Role Summary

Work within Lattice Semiconductor's applications engineering team in Manila to support customers integrating Lattice FPGA devices and evaluation boards. The role focuses on resolving technical issues, delivering reference designs and demos, and producing technical documentation.

The position involves direct customer engagement, training delivery, and collaboration with FAEs, distributor FAEs, and cross-functional teams globally.

Experience Level

Senior-level; the posting specifies a minimum of 3 years of FPGA or microcontroller experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Resolve device, IP, and software issues through debugging, simulation, and close communication with stakeholders.
• Create, debug, and maintain customer demos and reference designs for Lattice devices and evaluation boards.
• Develop and update technical publications such as data sheets, user guides, and application notes.
• Evaluate and test new software releases and assist in product definition to meet customer requirements.
• Deliver trainings, seminars, and presentations for FAEs, distributors, and customers.
• Provide hands-on code and board-level debugging and lab support.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Minimum 3 years of FPGA or microcontroller experience.
• Experience with HDL programming: Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
• Embedded programming in C/C++ or low-level assembly.
• Digital circuit simulation and code/board-level debugging experience.
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-technical support mindset.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams across multiple global sites.

Nice-to-have:

• Expertise in timing analysis and closure for complex FPGA projects.
• Scripting experience (TCL, Bash, Python).
• Experience with Linux-based environments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering.
