Role Summary

Join the Application Engineering team working on Synopsys hardware-assisted verification platforms to support customer deployments, emulation, and prototyping for SoC verification. The role focuses on bringing up customer designs, debugging testbenches and RTL, and coordinating with R&D and sales across EMEA.

This is a customer-facing technical engineering role with direct impact on verification schedules and product quality.

Experience Level

Senior — posting specifies 3–5 years of ASIC or SoC design and verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include hands-on deployment, debugging, customer support, and knowledge capture.

• Support customer deployments of emulation and prototyping platforms: compile RTL, bring up testbenches, and debug SoC-level verification issues.
• Build and troubleshoot emulation testbenches and protocol transactors (Ethernet, PCIe, AMBA, UART, DDR), C++ components, memory models, and automation scripts.
• Reproduce and isolate customer-reported issues in controlled environments; drive resolution with senior engineers or R&D.
• Perform technical evaluations and demonstrations of hardware-assisted verification products on customer designs.
• Respond to customer technical questions and provide timely troubleshooting and usage guidance.
• Document common issues, workarounds, and best practices to improve the internal knowledge base and reduce time-to-resolution.
• Collaborate with local applications engineering, R&D, and sales to support account engagements and technical discussions.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience followed by useful additions that speed ramp-up.

• 3–5 years experience in ASIC or SoC design and verification.
• Proficient in SystemVerilog; experienced using C or C++ for testbench development.
• Comfortable in Unix/Linux environments and with scripting (Python, Tcl, Perl).
• Strong debugging skills across RTL and software layers; able to isolate multi-component system issues.
• Good English communication skills for customer and internal technical discussions.
• Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with hardware emulators or prototyping platforms.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with protocols such as Ethernet, PCIe, AMBA, UART, DDR, and memory models.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (as specified in the posting).
