Senior Application Engineer

Role Summary

The position involves being part of the Application Engineering team responsible for driving customer success through expert technical support in silicon design processes, especially focusing on RTL-to-GDS flows.

Experience Level

Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience in Physical Implementation RTL-GDS, with a strong understanding of design methodologies and Synopsys tools.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving global customer adoption of Synopsys Implementation products.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical challenges related to synthesis and PnR.
• Initiating technical campaigns to enhance solution usability and adoption.
• Collaborating with R&D teams to communicate customer feedback for product improvement.
• Providing training and support sessions to customers.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• Deep hands-on experience with Synopsys Fusion Compiler and RTL-to-GDS methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting with Tcl, Unix, Perl, and Python.
• Excellent communication skills, with a customer-facing experience preferred.
• Experience with design flow analysis and knowledge of multiple chip tape-outs, particularly at 7nm or lower nodes.

Education Requirements

A B-Tech or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or an M-Tech or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
