Senior AI/ML Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior AI/ML Engineer role involves collaborating within the Central Engineering Solutions team to develop advanced 2.5D and 3D System-in-Package (SiP) designs. This position necessitates working closely with both customers and internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive workflow solutions, while ensuring seamless integration of Siemens’ EDA and MCAD tools.

Experience Level

This position is categorized as a Level - Senior role, requiring over 5 years of experience in software development where expertise in AI/ML applications and workflow automation is critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and document software modules with a strong emphasis on AI/ML applications.
• Develop and customize automated workflows, utilizing programming languages such as Python and Tcl/Tk.
• Identify and resolve AI/ML-related tool or design issues through effective problem-solving.
• Enhance design methodologies for critical technology nodes and optimize AI/ML workflows for performance analysis.
• Collaborate with CAD and packaging teams to establish workflow requirements.
• Manage EDA infrastructure and installation processes across multiple environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years in software development and CAD/design.
• Advanced programming skills in C++, Python, Tcl/Tk, with specific experience targeting AI/ML use cases.
• Comprehensive understanding of data structures and software design across Windows and Linux platforms.
• Proven track record in integrating AI/ML technologies within EDA workflows.
• Experience in data management and EDA infrastructure setup, including system administration tasks.
• Familiarity with design methodologies from RTL synthesis to netlist management.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with cloud platforms for AI/ML deployment.
• Understanding of advanced 3D packaging solutions.
