Role Summary

Join Elemental Scientific's Omaha team to design, test, and optimize hardware and mechanical assemblies for automated analytical and robotic systems used in semiconductor manufacturing.

The role focuses on hardware design, hardware–software integration, instrument operation, and field support to improve precision, reliability, and manufacturability of automation products.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, testing, and support of analytical and robotic systems:

  • Design, prototype, and document mechanical hardware assemblies for robotic systems and analytical instruments.
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot interfaces between hardware (sensors, actuators, motor controllers) and control software.
  • Operate and maintain advanced analytical instrumentation, including robotic systems and mass spectrometers.
  • Perform automated analyses of semiconductor process chemicals to verify purity and quality.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams to optimize product performance and manufacturability.
  • Travel to customer sites for installations, calibration, and hands-on end-user training.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field is preferred (examples listed: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics).
