Job Title

Semiconductor Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and analyze digital and analog circuits for memory products, contribute to layout and optimization, and support verification and manufacturing readiness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and Marketing to ensure manufacturability, quality, reliability, and time-to-market.

Drive circuit innovation for future memory generations within a technically demanding, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include circuit design, verification, layout management, and cross-group collaboration.

  • Design and analyze digital and analog circuits used in memory products.
  • Manage layout activities: floor-planning, placement, routing, and tape-out revisions.
  • Perform parasitic modeling, SPICE simulation, and design validation.
  • Execute synthesis, static timing analysis, LEC, DRC, and place-and-route verification.
  • Support reticle experiments and required tape-out revisions.
  • Work with Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and Marketing to ensure manufacturability and product quality.
  • Contribute to standardization and improvements in CAD, modeling, and verification flows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and tools:

  • SystemVerilog / Verilog / VHDL
  • C / C++ programming and debugging
  • TCL, Python, or Perl scripting
  • Digital design and VLSI/CMOS fundamentals
  • Design validation and verification using industry simulators
  • Synthesis and static timing analysis
  • LEC, DRC, and place & route experience
  • Memory circuit design experience
  • SPICE and Cadence Virtuoso / HSIM experience

Education Requirements

Employer will accept a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. No other degrees, specific fields of study, certifications, or equivalent-experience language were specified in the posting.
