Semiconductor Design Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and validate circuit and floorplan designs to advance next-generation DRAM technology nodes and enable transfer of node innovations into production products.

Collaborate with product engineering and process technology teams to simulate, debug, and resolve design or process issues and to provide design recommendations to Technology Development teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level (approximately 2 years of relevant experience required).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, validation, and failure analysis for DRAM technology development.

• Advance technology node development and help transfer innovations into production DRAM products.
• Perform CMOS circuit design and digital/mixed-signal design tasks.
• Conduct floor planning and power delivery network (PDN) design, including IR drop analysis.
• Simulate designs, debug failures, and perform root cause analysis of design and process issues.
• Identify failures and provide corrective feedback to block design owners.
• Validate device and schematic functionality using memory testing systems.
• Deliver design insights and recommendations to Technology Development and process teams.
• Collaborate with product engineering and process teams during validation and technology direction work.

Education Requirements

Employer will accept a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 2 years of work experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
