Security Software Development Engineer

Role Summary

Join the validation team responsible for Intel TDX (Trusted Domain Extensions) to ensure the reliability and security of confidential computing. Work on functional validation across firmware, OS, drivers, middleware, SDKs, and applications.

Build test frameworks, automation, and reference implementations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve security and virtualization issues.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically 3–5 years of relevant experience in software or hardware validation/verification and software development.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities for this role include:

• Design, implement, and run functional validation and test frameworks for TDX across the software and firmware stack.
• Develop automation and reference implementations to support validation and reproducibility.
• Create, execute, and maintain test suites for firmware, OS, drivers, middleware, SDKs, and applications.
• Collaborate with architects, firmware, software and silicon teams to triage defects and verify fixes.
• Perform pre- and post-silicon validation activities and report results clearly.
• Document test plans, procedures, and technical findings.

Requirements

Core qualifications and skills required for effective performance:

• 3–5 years experience in software or hardware validation or verification.
• 3–5 years coding experience in higher-level languages such as C or C++.
• Proficient in English with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred: experience with operating systems and virtualization, pre/post-silicon validation, or Specman/SystemVerilog.

Education Requirements

BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
