RTL Design Engineer

Role Summary

The RTL Design Engineer position at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) involves strong technical leadership in the Silicon IP solutions & SOC group. The role includes participation in all phases of product development, focusing on architectural definition, productization, and leading cross-functional teams.

Experience Level

Senior - Minimum of 8 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Define u-architecture from the architecture definition.
• Evaluate and execute design and development plans for IPs.
• Perform RTL design, IP integration & documentation.
• Act as a senior technical reviewer for u-architecture and implementation reviews.
• Develop comprehensive testing plans including Compliance and Interop testing.
• Review and provide feedback on design implementations and verification plans.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

• Proven experience in Silicon IP development processes and methodologies.
• Experience with Verilog RTL design and VCS simulation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with remote teams.

Nice-to-have qualifications include:

• Experience contributing to complex silicon tapeouts.
• Understanding of advanced networking IP solutions such as PCIe and NVMe.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required; a Master’s degree or equivalent experience is also acceptable.
