RFFE Product and Test Engineer (Zhubei)

Role Summary

Perform product and test engineering for RF front-end hardware at Qualcomm's Zhubei site. Provide laboratory debugging, test development, equipment setup, and analytical support to sustain high-volume manufacturing and product verification.

Experience Level

Entry-level — typically 0–3 years. The role expects at least 1 year of relevant technical experience depending on education (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Primary duties include laboratory testing, debugging, and supporting product sustainment and improvements.

  • Debug electronic parts, software, systems, and circuitry.
  • Provide analytical support for sustaining and high-volume manufacturing (HVM) improvements.
  • Install, calibrate, upgrade, and configure laboratory equipment.
  • Monitor product performance and analyze failures or malfunctions.
  • Execute systematic debugging and troubleshooting of digital hardware, software, and analog RF issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers to complete assigned tasks, priorities, and deliverables.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with digital hardware, software, and/or analog RF troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers (VNAs).
  • Basic RF measurement knowledge and familiarity with RF measurement techniques.
  • Basic troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with probe cards, load boards, and test fixtures.
  • Ability to work under supervision and collaborate in a team; good communication skills and ability to work independently under pressure.

Education Requirements

Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field (often listed with 1+ years of experience). Minimum accepted qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, or an Associate’s degree plus 1+ year technical experience, or a High School diploma/equivalent plus 2+ years technical experience. Certification or practical hands-on experience in electronics is also noted as acceptable.
