Job Title

RF Test Development Engineer

Role Summary

Join Qorvo's High Performance Analog test engineering team to develop and improve automated test and measurement capabilities for RF products from DC to mmWave. The role focuses on test software development, test station support, and cross-functional test development to enable product characterization and validation.

Location: Richardson, TX. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” professional role. Minimum of 4 years of software testing or test automation experience is required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining software and processes that support RF characterization and automated testing.

  • Design and integrate software solutions for RF characterization spanning DC to mmWave frequencies.
  • Support product characterization during development and design validation testing of RF functions.
  • Develop and expand the test automation framework and increase test coverage.
  • Implement and contribute to software quality assurance (SQA) and earlier testing in the development lifecycle.
  • Support test station setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional engineering test development projects.
  • Create and maintain test software documentation, procedures, and reports.
  • Contribute to SQL database development to support test data and results.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in software testing or test automation.
  • Proficient in API development for test automation and automated test design, development, and maintenance.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and C#.
  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with instrument and network communications: TCP/IP, GPIB/IEEE 488.2, I2C, and serial interfaces.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Nice-to-have: load-pull measurement knowledge; experience with measurement hardware and RF-specific test techniques.
  • Position requires limited travel; relocation eligible.

Education Requirements

Required: MSc degree (or greater) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. (The posting specifies a master's degree or higher in these fields.)
