RF Design Engineer
Role Summary
Work on RF design within the ATE/SMX team to develop MEMS switch products for automatic test equipment and instrumentation markets. The role covers circuit design from true DC to >30 GHz and requires close collaboration across IC layout, manufacturing, applications, test, and marketing teams.
First shift / days; position based in Limerick, Ireland. Travel approximately 10%.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to define product requirements.
- Perform RF circuit design and simulation to meet specifications (DC to >30 GHz).
- Work with IC layout engineers and manufacturing to convert designs into masks for fabrication.
- Coordinate with applications, marketing, evaluation/test, foundry, assembly, reliability, and failure analysis teams to bring products to market on schedule.
- Develop next-generation core MEMS technology to support future product roadmaps.
- Travel as required (approximately 10%).
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and accepts responsibility for technical tasks.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Practical experience in RF design and simulation; hands-on experience with RF measurement and circuit-level design work.
- Experience with RF modelling tools such as HFSS or ADS and finite-element modelling tools is an advantage (nice-to-have).
- Experience collaborating with manufacturing/layout and cross-functional teams to transition designs to production is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
