Job Title
RF Characterization Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Test and Verification team in Trondheim to lead post-silicon verification and characterization for ultra-low-power radio microchip platforms. The role focuses on developing and maintaining hardware test infrastructure, creating and executing high-frequency/analog test cases, and supporting post-silicon debugging through to production readiness.
This is a hands-on engineering role working in a prototype verification laboratory and collaborating with RTL, design, firmware, and product teams.
Experience Level
Mid-level / Experienced. The posting lists "Experienced" but does not specify years of experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design, implement and maintain hardware test infrastructure for prototype microchips.
- Create and run high-frequency and analog test and characterization cases.
- Execute verification tasks to meet roadmap timelines and quality targets.
- Perform post-silicon debugging and support root-cause analysis.
- Develop and improve HW verification strategies and methodologies.
- Collaborate across teams through the full design cycle from concept to volume production.
- Document test procedures, results and maintain test equipment and setups.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Experience in analog and high-frequency test and characterization.
- Proficiency in programming for test automation: C, C++, Python, or LabVIEW.
- Familiarity with test equipment and platforms (for example NI PXI, ATE).
- Knowledge of transceiver and digital system architectures and hardware design.
- Experience with hardware development and hands-on debugging of prototypes.
- Good English communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
