Role Summary

The Research Intern will play a key role in the CPU group focusing on Generative AI (GenAI) methods for Integrated Circuit (IC) Design and Verification in Electronic Design Automation (EDA).

Experience Level

Entry-level, suitable for candidates in a PhD program.

Responsibilities

The intern will be responsible for:

  • Surveying and exploring current state-of-the-art GenAI methods in EDA workflows.
  • Leading research in GenAI methods for RTL coding, synthesis, and verification processes.
  • Procuring models and performing experiments to gather data for research evaluation.
  • Publishing papers and/or filing patents related to research topics.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

  • Proficient knowledge of GenAI and Machine Learning (ML), with familiarity in EDA tools.
  • Experience in RTL coding, synthesis, and verification.
  • Research experience in Reinforcement Learning (RL), Neural Networks, and their applications.
  • Strong skills in experimenting with and evaluating foundational models for domain-specific EDA tasks.
  • Hands-on experience researching and writing papers.
  • Highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented; capable of working independently and in a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Education Requirements
