Reliability Engineer II
Role Summary
Responsible for reliability qualification and evaluation of new product introductions (NPIs), product derivatives, and quick-turn packages, and for supporting reliability assessments of returned or production devices.
Works with design, product, package, assembly, software engineering and planning teams to develop and execute qualification plans and release reliable product results.
Experience Level
Mid-level. 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred; junior engineers and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include creating and executing reliability qualification and evaluation activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Develop qualification/evaluation plans for NPIs and existing products.
- Manage and execute qualification plans using industry-standard protocols.
- Define and support qualification hardware and test patterns (e.g., HTOL, biased temperature/humidity, power temperature cycling).
- Coordinate with stakeholders (design, product, package, assembly, software, planning) to meet schedules and test requirements.
- Perform first-level device/package failure analysis for qualification/evaluation failures.
- Analyze data and prepare/release qualification and evaluation results.
- Recommend reliability evaluation plans and apply relevant commercial, industrial, and automotive reliability standards.
Requirements

Must-have: 3–5 years experience (preferred) as an individual contributor in product, test, quality, or reliability engineering for semiconductors; ability to work independently on complex, ill-defined problems.

Must-have: Working experience in hardware design and FPGA/CPLD products or similar complexity.

Must-have: Working understanding of non-volatile cell voltage margins (Flash or EEPROM).

Must-have: Strong PC and MS Office skills; strong data analysis/mining skills (JMP, SQL).

Must-have: Strong verbal and written English skills; ability to multi-task and collaborate across groups; detail-oriented with customer service focus.

Nice-to-have: Programming experience (Java, Verilog, VBA, R).

Nice-to-have: Experience with package/device failure analysis.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering; Physics; or Materials Science (listed). Junior engineers and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
