Reliability Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Global Reliability Lab to define and execute reliability strategies and qualification activities for semiconductor products from development through high-volume manufacturing.
The role partners with Design, Test, Failure Analysis, Manufacturing, Quality, and Suppliers to investigate failures, mitigate risk, and ensure products meet reliability and industry standards.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires 5+ years of reliability engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities
The role is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting reliability qualification tests and for driving corrective actions based on failure analysis.
- Develop and execute reliability qualification plans for electronic components and modules.
- Design and implement test strategies including HTOL, HAST, THB, TC, HTSL, PTC and mechanical stress tests.
- Run environmental and mechanical stress tests and operate associated test equipment.
- Review and analyze test data, investigate failures, and provide clear conclusions and recommendations.
- Assess risks from new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes and recommend mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with JEDEC, IEC, MIL, IPC and customer-specific reliability standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to move products from development into high-volume manufacturing.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items are indicated.

Must-have: 5+ years of reliability engineering experience in the semiconductor industry supporting products through development and high-volume manufacturing.

Must-have: Strong knowledge of electronics reliability mechanisms (electromigration, corrosion, thermal fatigue, etc.).

Must-have: Hands-on experience with reliability testing and environmental/mechanical stress test equipment.

Must-have: Ability to interpret schematics, PCB/layout, and mechanical drawings; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must-have: Experience reviewing test results, performing failure analysis, and producing actionable recommendations.

Nice-to-have: Familiarity with automotive, industrial, consumer, or other high-reliability electronic applications.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required.
