R&D Engineering Staff Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior R&D Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of software products related to engineering disciplines. This position involves working alongside skilled professionals to achieve technical objectives efficiently and effectively.

Position Summary

The selected candidate will engage in various engineering tasks such as designing, implementing, and testing software modules while ensuring thorough documentation throughout the process.

Experience Level

Applicants are expected to possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field of Electrical Engineering or a closely related area, particularly within EDA solutions and semiconductor design.

Key Responsibilities

• Development of software modules, including design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Application of industry best practices during the development process.
• Verification of bugs, conducting release testing, and providing beta support for products.
• Investigating issues raised by QA or product support teams and developing effective solutions.
• Collaboration with a development manager and adherence to project timelines.

Necessary Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must hold a BS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Experience specifically with EDA solutions, as well as exposure to semiconductor foundries and design companies, are essential.

Education Requirements

A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, along with familiarity in using tools such as Ansys Totem, and IC layout and simulation tools. Knowledge of various electronic design automation software is an advantage.
