R&D Engineering Sr. Engineer

Role Summary

The R&D Engineering Sr. Engineer will design, develop, and maintain StarRC, the leading tool for parasitic extraction in the EDA industry. This role involves improving models, developing algorithms, and collaborating with experts to tackle technical challenges.

Experience Level

Senior level. A doctorate or equivalent industrial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this role include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining StarRC for parasitic extraction.
• Improving capacitance models for new technologies.
• Developing algorithms to enhance runtime, memory, and capacity.
• Enhancing scripts for big data analysis and product optimization using machine learning.
• Collaborating with domain experts and local R&D teams.
• Contributing to continuous software development improvements.

Requirements

The necessary qualifications for this position are:

• MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Solid C++ programming skills.
• Familiarity with software development processes, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience in a Linux environment and with scripting.
• Understanding of numerical mathematics or machine learning is a plus.

Education Requirements

A Master's or PhD in a relevant field is expected.
