R&D Engineering Senior Engineer

Role Summary

Work on RedHawk-SC, a distributed big-data analytics platform for semiconductor power and reliability analysis. Deliver production-quality C++ features that improve performance, scalability, and correctness for advanced SoC designs.

You'll collaborate with technical leads, product managers, and application engineers to implement and validate features that enable designers to close power and reliability issues faster.

Responsibilities

Primary engineering responsibilities include design, implementation, testing, and performance optimization of distributed analysis tooling.

• Design, develop, and own new capabilities in RedHawk-SC for power integrity and reliability analysis.
• Write efficient, maintainable, production-quality C++ code for large datasets and complex IC architectures.
• Diagnose and resolve defects, performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and algorithmic inefficiencies.
• Build unit, regression, and system-level tests for features across distributed processing environments.
• Optimize runtime and memory usage to support advanced nodes (e.g., 3nm), FinFET, 3D-IC, and stacked-die designs.
• Participate in code reviews and help establish engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product and application teams to refine requirements and deliver customer-facing solutions.

Requirements

Key technical skills and experience required or preferred for successful performance.

• Must-have: 2+ years of hands-on C++ experience with strong command of language and performance characteristics.
• Must-have: Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and debugging techniques for complex software systems.
• Must-have: Working knowledge of Linux development workflows and toolchains.
• Must-have: Ability to reason about software modeling of electronic design at gate or transistor level.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Python for scripting, automation, or tooling.
• Nice-to-have: Background in distributed processing, large-scale commercial software development, or ASIC power delivery network simulation.

Education Requirements
