R&D Engineering Principal Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled R&D Engineering Principal Engineer who specializes in high-speed serial communication and transceiver design. You will work collaboratively within cross-disciplinary teams to drive innovative solutions in the field of silicon products and connectivity technologies.

Experience Level

To qualify for this role, candidates must have over 10 years of relevant industry experience, alongside a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with analog, digital, and hardware teams for comprehensive design verification.
• Develop and maintain detailed simulation and verification plans for IP, ensuring alignment with performance and reliability standards.
• Review execution against verification plans through ongoing meetings with various verification teams.
• Monitor and report on key verification metrics like functional and code coverage.
• Coordinate with Firmware Leads to create hardware regression plans for updates.
• Deliver high-quality verification collateral including test documentation and coverage reports.

Requirements

Candidates must possess expertise in high-speed protocols (PCIe and Ethernet), along with proficiency in SystemVerilog and object-oriented verification methodologies. Strong scripting skills in Python, TCL, Perl, or C/C++ are required, as well as knowledge of high-speed analog and digital design principles.

Education Requirements

Master’s or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
