Job Title
R&D Engineer, IC Design
Role Summary
Verify complex switch ASIC designs by developing and executing verification environments and test plans from block to chip level. Work within the IC design verification team to create SystemVerilog-based testbenches, verification IP, and silicon diagnostics.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 6 years of design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on design verification, test development, and silicon diagnostics.
- Design and implement SystemVerilog-based verification environments (testbenches, checkers, transactors).
- Create and execute verification test plans for RTL and gate-level simulations at block and chip level.
- Develop ATE test vectors and C-based diagnostic tests for silicon bring-up and validation.
- Debug failures across simulation and silicon, and coordinate fixes with design and validation teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.
-
Must-have: Strong hands-on experience in design verification methods, tools, and environments.
-
Must-have: Proficient programming skills in SystemVerilog and scripting languages for test automation.
-
Must-have: Experience with RTL and gate-level simulation-based verification and testplan execution.
-
Must-have: Experience developing ATE vectors and C-based diagnostics for silicon.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with UVM methodology.
-
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of networking and switching concepts.
