Role Summary
The R&D Engineer Hardware will join the Hardware Systems Team to design development platforms for testing and validating custom mixed signal ASICs. The role involves overseeing the full development lifecycle, including design conceptualization, component selection, schematic design, and system verification.
Experience Level
Senior level; candidates should have a BSEE and 12 years of relevant hardware and system experience.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Debugging and solving engineering problems effectively.
- Generating silicon validation test plans based on datasheets and customer requirements.
- Translating validation test plans into PCB design specifications.
- Managing schematic capture and layout design oversight.
- Designing for cost, size, and power constraints in consumer products.
- Creating designs for high-speed memory and digital interfaces.
- Implementing low noise analog design techniques.
- Using CPLD/FPGA devices in multi-voltage supply designs.
- Performing SPICE simulations and ensuring signal integrity.
- Mentoring in DxDesigner or Cadence Allegro usage.
Requirements
The role requires the following qualifications:
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in generating design and validation documentation.
- Familiarity with SPICE and signal integrity simulations.
- Requirement of BSEE and 12+ years of related experience.
Education Requirements
BSEE is required.
