R&D Engineer - Hardware

Role Summary

Senior hardware R&D engineer responsible for board- and system-level hardware design, validation and debugging of high-speed digital products. Work with a Tel Aviv-based engineering team to develop reliable board implementations and verify signal/power integrity and interface behavior.

Experience Level

Senior - at least 8 years of relevant hardware design and validation experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include hands-on design, validation and debugging of high-speed boards and interfaces.

• Perform board-level debugging and root-cause analysis for digital/high-speed systems.
• Execute SI/PI analysis and verification for high-speed designs.
• Design and validate interfaces such as DDR, PCIe and SerDes.
• Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.) for measurements and debug.
• Implement controlled-impedance layouts, power-regulation and analog/filter solutions as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ASIC, firmware, system) to resolve hardware issues and deliver validated boards.
• Document design decisions, test plans and validation results; communicate findings clearly in English.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and behaviors.

• Minimum 8 years relevant experience in high-speed digital hardware design and validation.
• Solid practical knowledge of signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI).
• Strong board-level debugging skills and experience diagnosing hardware faults.
• Hands-on experience with DDR, PCIe and SerDes interfaces.
• Proficient using laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Good understanding of analog circuits, filters, regulators and controlled-impedance implementations.
• Self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required. Master of Science (MSc) in EE or a related field is an advantage. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
