Role Summary
As a Prototyping and Emulation Engineer at AMD, you will contribute to various aspects of systems design, particularly in the validation and prototyping phases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product development and deliver industry-leading technologies.

This role is aimed at seasoned professionals or senior engineers with a background in FPGA design and engineering processes, ideally with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical advancements to enhance validation methods, including tool development and procedural methodologies.
- Debug and resolve issues during the bring-up, validation, and production phases of SoC programs.
- Manage multi-team collaborations to ensure comprehensive validation of features within set timelines.
- Engage with technical teams on software and hardware modeling frameworks.
- Facilitate a collaborative workflow across different engineering disciplines.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in FPGA design and prototyping utilizing tools like Cadence, Synopsys, or Vivado.
- Strong proficiency in digital design, Verilog, and System Verilog.
- Deep understanding of debugging techniques and methodologies.
- Programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Familiarity with SOC architecture and ARM ecosystem protocols (AXI, APB).
- Knowledge in FPGAs and programmable devices.
- Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Expertise in board/platform-level debugging for system delivery and optimization.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the capability to lead tasks independently.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required.
