Role Summary

As a Project Engineering Manager at Synopsys, you will lead cross-functional teams in the successful delivery of Silicon IP projects globally. This role requires a deep understanding of semiconductor design, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion.

Experience Level

10+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver Silicon IP projects globally, from initial planning through successful completion.
  • Representing the product line internally and externally, acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and customers.
  • Reporting on project status to key customers and collaborating with R&D teams to plan new developments and enhancements.
  • Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables, aligning them with business objectives.
  • Developing and managing comprehensive project plans, scheduling timelines, and tracking milestones using industry-standard tools.
  • Analyzing project performance and ensuring quality assurance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Empowering team members, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals.
  • Providing regular updates to management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Education Requirements: Degree in Engineering or Applied Science (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience managing customer expectations and communications.
  • Background in Mixed-Signal IP, SOC, ASIC, or semiconductor development environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience with quality management system processes and procedures.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize tools in a Linux environment.
