Project Engineering Management, Principal Engineer

Role Summary

Lead and execute multi-team programs that scale advanced digital design methodologies, AI-enabled flows, and EDA tool adoption across Interface IP R&D. Operate at the intersection of technical engineering teams, product groups, and executive stakeholders to drive measurable improvements in productivity and time-to-market.

Member of the IPG Digital Methodology and Enablement team, coordinating global engineering, CAE, and EDA experts to deliver repeatable workflows and operational improvements for multiple product lines.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 10+ years in the semiconductor industry with program leadership or technical program/engineering management experience.

Responsibilities

Own program execution, reporting, and operations for cross-functional initiatives focused on digital design flows and methodology adoption.

• Manage execution of multiple programs across digital IP R&D and Digital Methodology initiatives.
• Partner with technical leaders, product teams, and EDA experts to define scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain program plans, dashboards, metrics, and analytics to track progress and surface risks.
• Present program status, risks, and outcomes to senior and executive audiences, translating technical detail into business impact.
• Run team operations: newsletters, internal websites, Jira workflows, and cross-functional coordination mechanisms.
• Work with global teams to identify workflow gaps, drive operational improvements, and enable adoption of new methodologies and tools.

Requirements

Must-have technical program management skills and semiconductor domain knowledge; nice-to-have items listed separately.

• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in semiconductor development environments.
• Strong foundation in digital design, verification, or EDA tooling and workflows.
• Demonstrated project management skills: multi-priority planning, execution, and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-level presentations.
• Strong analytical skills; experience creating dashboards, tracking metrics, and using data to drive decisions.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence or machine learning methodologies as applied to semiconductor design flows.
• Practical familiarity with MS Office tools, Unix, and Perforce.
• Nice-to-have: experience with digital front-end flows, Synopsys verification tools, Fusion Compiler, and PMP or other program management certifications.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline. PMP or other relevant program management certifications are listed as a plus.
