Production Systems Engineer, AI Network

Role Summary

Join the Release to Production New Product Introduction (RTP-NPI) team to enable new AI server platforms for large-scale training and inference. The role focuses on hardware bring-up, system validation, debugging, automated provisioning/remediation, and certifying platforms for production deployment in data centers.

Experience Level

Mid-level (preferred 6+ years of relevant industry experience).

Responsibilities

Work across hardware, firmware, drivers, and systems to bring new AI platforms into production and to troubleshoot production issues.

• Drive integration of scale-up (e.g., NVLink, XGMI) and scale-out (NICs) interfaces into new AI platforms.
• Analyze collective communication patterns and AI workloads to inform NPI decisions.
• Create experiments and tooling to detect, reproduce, and diagnose hardware/firmware/software health issues.
• Prototype and validate proof-of-concept hardware and system features for future AI deployments.
• Troubleshoot system failures, isolate root causes, and coordinate fixes with internal and external partners.
• Develop visibility via data visualization and implement systemic solutions to hardware health issues.
• Use production experience to drive improvements in product quality across teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role.

• 6+ years of experience in one or more domains: network ASIC/platform development, switch or NIC product deployment/support, or interconnect technologies (optics, DAC).
• Knowledge of server architecture and components.
• Experience with Linux.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and experience using iperf.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and debug experience across hardware/firmware/software.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with large-scale deployments and production fleets.
• Experience with Network Interface Cards (NICs) and RDMA/RoCE.
• Experience with full server systems including PCIe.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
