Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) β HBM/DRAM Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) Engineer
Role Summary
As an EFA engineer on the Product Yield Enhancement team, you will perform electrical failure analysis for HBM and DRAM products from new product introduction through high-volume manufacturing. The role focuses on defect localization, root-cause analysis, and enabling timely corrective actions through advanced debug, data analytics, and AI-assisted tools.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include failure analysis, debug, and cross-functional collaboration to improve yield and product quality.
- Perform deep-dive root-cause electrical failure analysis for HBM/DRAM backend issues.
- Conduct electrical characterization and fault isolation using bench testers and advanced debug methodologies to localize defects for physical failure analysis (PFA).
- Apply data-driven and AI-assisted approaches to accelerate analysis and improve hypothesis convergence.
- Maintain EFA lab operations, tools, and failure sample tracking in compliance with audit and quality requirements.
- Partner with Frontend Process, Product Engineering, Test Solution Engineering, and Quality teams to drive corrective actions and shift-left optimization.
- Support yield learning across NPI, qualification, ramp, and mature production through structured analysis and technical leadership.

- Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, circuit design, layout, and schematics.

- Interest in applying AI, automation, and data analytics to scale yield engineering workflows.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Microelectronics Engineering, or an engineering discipline with relevant coursework.
