Product Validation Engineer II - Hardware Verification Quality Assurance (QA)
Role Summary
Join the ATPG/DFT and Fault Emulation team within the HSV group to validate hardware verification software for Palladium emulation platforms. The role is based in Belo Horizonte and focuses on test plan design, automation, and collaboration with R&D and validation teams.
This is an engineering validation role working on Linux-based test infrastructure, test automation, and release support for EDA/VLSI verification features.
Experience Level
Mid-level - approximately 2+ years of relevant software testing or validation experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include creating and maintaining automated validation for hardware verification features and supporting product releases.
- Design and execute software validation and test plans for new features.
- Debug issues with R&D and improve test coverage and quality metrics.
- Develop tools and scripts for test generation, execution, result analysis, and reporting.
- Create and maintain Linux-based test infrastructure and automation.
- Coordinate with the Validation team to support releases and validation workflows.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Minimum ~2 years experience in software testing or validation.
- Experience with EDA and VLSI design; familiarity with Verilog and VHDL.
- Proficiency with scripting in Tcl or Python.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and maintaining test infrastructure.
- Strong spoken and written English and Portuguese.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with version control systems.
- C++ programming knowledge.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 and DFT/ATPG flows.
- Experience with CI systems such as Jenkins.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
