Product Validation Engineer II
Role Summary
Validate and develop back-end and signoff EDA tools (Genus/Innovus/Tempus) with a focus on timing, extraction, and verification for advanced process nodes. Work within a product validation team to create and run testsuites that ensure timing-analysis correctness across the digital implementation flow.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include validation, test development, and verification for digital implementation/signoff tools.
- Develop and execute testsuites to validate static timing analysis (STA) quality and timing correctness across implementation stages.
- Assist development and validation of Cadence Genus, Innovus, and Tempus tools for back-end and signoff flows.
- Support RC extraction verification in Innovus for advanced nodes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve tool/flow issues.
- Document test results and provide clear written and verbal reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
Key technical skills and attributes required or preferred for the role.
- Proficient with Linux operating environment.
- Strong scripting skills: TCL, Perl, Shell, and/or Python.
- Familiarity with digital circuit implementation flow; knowledge of STA and extraction is preferred.
- Experience working with EDA tools or validating software in a semiconductor design flow is desirable.
- Effective team player with clear written and verbal communication skills, patience, and responsibility.
Education Requirements
MS degree is preferred; alternatively a Bachelor's degree combined with 3+ years of digital design experience is acceptable.
