Role Summary

The Product Engineering Manager provides management direction for one or more semiconductor products from development planning through production release, ensuring manufacturability, reliability, specification compliance and quality goals. The role coordinates with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, reliability and marketing teams and may provide sustaining support after release.

The manager formulates and executes long-term cost and profitability plans and is responsible for selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to enable efficient operation of the product engineering function.

Experience Level

Mid-level (minimum 4 years of relevant experience).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead product transition from development to production, ensuring manufacturability and reliability.
• Ensure products meet specifications and quality objectives; provide sustaining support post-release.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, reliability and marketing.
• Develop and execute cost, yield and profitability control plans.
• Hire, develop and evaluate team members to maintain efficient operations.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

• Must-have: Minimum 4 years of experience in product engineering or related roles.
• Nice-to-have: Strong verbal and written communication; ability to build relationships with stakeholders; analytical and problem-solving skills; experience ramping new systems and processes; strong time management and teamwork skills; initiative and drive for results.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (specified as minimum education in the posting).
