Role Summary

Responsible for the product lifecycle of semiconductor ICs with focus on package definition, assembly/manufacturing qualification and reliability for step-down DC-DC converters. Work cross-functionally with design, test, process and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet quality, cost and reliability targets and scale to volume production.

Mid-level (typical 3–7 years experience).

Responsibilities

Primary duties include development-to-production transfer, reliability qualification and cross-site coordination to deliver robust, manufacturable IC products.

• Drive new product introduction (NPI) with emphasis on package definition, assembly/manufacturing flow and reliability qualification for volume production.
• Collaborate with design, test, systems, marketing and applications teams to define and plan projects that meet customer needs.
• Set up and qualify products within TI manufacturing processes and flows.
• Plan and execute reliability testing; analyze stress impacts, drive root-cause investigations and define corrective actions.
• Coordinate with global manufacturing sites and cross-functional product development teams (silicon, test, packaging, quality).
• Ensure mechanical, chemical and electrical interactions in the final IC are addressed for reliable mass production while balancing cost and quality.
• Work on technology development, cost reduction, capacity expansion, yield improvement and quality enhancement projects.
• Communicate with international teams and stakeholders; travel internationally as required.

Requirements

Minimum required skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

• Knowledge or strong interest in semiconductor fabrication processes, manufacturing flows and reliability testing, including electrical, physical, mechanical and chemical interactions in semiconductor devices.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics and materials science; basic understanding of electronic circuits.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, global team environment.
• Strong verbal and written English skills; German is a plus.
• Basic Python development experience (including familiarity with Claude or similar coding assistants).
• Experience with Ansys, Cadence or similar modeling/simulation tools.
• Ability to ramp quickly on new processes, drive results and manage time to meet project deadlines.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Nice-to-have:

• Understanding of IC packaging and failure analysis techniques.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Technology, Material Science, Physics or a related technical field.
