Product Engineer Intern

Role Summary

Join the Product Engineering team to support product lifecycle activities including PLM, NPI, and mass production release. Work closely with Test, Hardware, Design and Firmware teams to design, develop, and debug products.

You will be paired with a senior product engineer as a mentor and will complete a mentored engineering project focused on NPI deliverables or a technical problem, culminating in a presentation of your results.

Experience Level

Internship / Entry-level. This is an intern role for students currently pursuing an undergraduate degree; see Education Requirements for details.

Responsibilities

Support Product Engineering activities in NPI, manufacturing release, and sustaining phases.

• Verify and debug test programs.
• Perform failure analysis and device characterization.
• Execute or coordinate Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and System Level Test (SLT) operations.
• Compile and present engineering analysis reports.
• Perform DPPM analysis and yield reporting; contribute to yield-improvement efforts.
• Support transfer of test programs and processes to high-volume manufacturing and sustain production.
• Complete a mentored engineering project and present findings to stakeholders.

• Strong organizational, data-analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Familiarity with data analysis or statistical tools (e.g., JMP) or similar software.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively across Test, Hardware, Design, and Firmware teams.
• Comfort working with test equipment, manufacturing data, and technical reports.
• May require eligibility to access export-controlled technology; applicants may be subject to an export license review.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering or a relevant discipline. Secondary major or specialization in Data Analytics is a plus.
