Product Engineer (Integrated Circuits) - Internship
Role Summary
Short-term internship supporting product engineering activities for integrated circuits used in industrial and automotive markets. The intern will work with cross-functional teams to support mass production, quality assurance, and test-data analysis under mentor supervision.
Experience Level
Internship / Entry-level. Intended for students in their 3rd year or higher or recent graduates; no senior experience required.
Responsibilities
Key day-to-day responsibilities (performed under mentor supervision):
- Analyze test data to identify root causes of defects and support defect-reduction activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Support go/no-go decisions for test lot release based on technical evaluation of test results.
- Assist with product qualification tasks (HTOL, bHAST, ESD, LU) and electrical characterization.
- Learn and apply quality standards and internal procedures.
- Develop basic data-analysis and automation tools to support engineering tasks.
Requirements
Must-have skills and abilities:
- Basic knowledge of digital and analog circuit design.
- Basic programming skills (examples: Python, C#, VBA, R) for data analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with statistical data-analysis methods.
- Basic understanding of integrated circuit manufacturing processes.
- English at an intermediate level for technical communication.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or current student (3rd year or above) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. No certifications specified; equivalent practical experience not stated.
