Product Engineer (DFT In-System Test)

Role Overview

Siemens EDA is focusing on developing innovative Electronic Design Automation software. The Product Engineer role in the Tessent division specializes in Design For Test (DFT) solutions, concentrating on in-system testing methodologies.

Level of Experience

We are looking for a candidate with 6 or more years of experience in the semiconductor industry or electronic design automation, demonstrating a strong background in both technical and interpersonal skills.

Primary Duties

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Facilitating adoption of DFT tools and improving user experience through ecosystem development.
• Providing strategic and tactical support to sales and clients, involving reviews and tool flow development.
• Collaborating with customers on defining architecture and methodology for product implementation.
• Resolving complex technical issues and formulating new methodologies for enhanced functionality.
• Delivering technical presentations and creating training materials to support both internal and external stakeholders.
• Engaging in technical discussions with cross-functional teams, requiring some domestic and international travel.

Required Qualifications

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• In-depth knowledge in Design For Test strategies and techniques for complex ASICs/SoCs, along with practical experience in various test methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to analyze and debug complex design issues.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical principles to diverse audiences.
• A highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently and build professional relationships.

Education Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
