Role Summary
Support development, integration, and qualification of advanced e-beam systems with a focus on electronics and software integration. The role is hands-on and involves hardware validation, test-stand development, and cross-discipline system-level problem solving.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
The engineer will develop and validate electronics and control software, perform system-level debugging, and support integration and qualification activities.
- Develop and support electronics and software for e-beam test stands and column systems.
- Work with high-voltage electronics, FPGA-based hardware, and related interfaces.
- Create and maintain software for hardware control, diagnostics, automation, and data acquisition.
- Perform system-level debugging and root-cause analysis across hardware/software boundaries.
- Support integration, characterization, and qualification of new and existing hardware.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, systems, and integration engineering teams.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience expected for the role.
Must-have:
- Solid foundation in electronics and electrical systems.
- Experience developing software for hardware control or test (examples: Python, C/C++, MATLAB).
- Experience with hardware/software integration and system-level debugging.
- Ability to work independently on moderately complex technical problems.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with high-voltage systems, mixed-signal electronics, or FPGA-based designs.
- Experience developing or supporting test stands or lab automation.
- Experience in semiconductor equipment, inspection, or advanced instrumentation environments.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is listed; alternative degree levels and experience mappings are specified: Doctorate with 0 years relevant experience; Master’s with ~3 years relevant experience; Bachelor’s with ~5 years relevant experience.
