Job Title

Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

Design and validate test methodologies and automatic test equipment (ATE) programs for FPGA products. The role covers on-chip DFT definition and verification, test vector generation, coverage analysis, ATE program development, and first-silicon debug.

Work with cross-functional global teams (design, software, manufacturing, product engineering) to drive test capability, reduce test cost, and improve manufacturing quality and stability.

Experience Level

Mid-level. No specific years of experience stated; experience in silicon bring-up and ATE is preferred.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include test definition, program development, and cross-team collaboration.

  • Develop full-chip test methods; define and verify on-chip DFT.
  • Generate test vectors and perform coverage analysis.
  • Develop and validate ATE programs; perform test program validation on testers.
  • Execute first-silicon debug and support manufacturing bring-up.
  • Implement test modules (CMT/HMDT) and convert test patterns (e.g., STIL to pobj).
  • Collaborate with designers, software, manufacturing, and product engineering across the product lifecycle.
  • Drive test optimizations to reduce cost, improve product quality, and increase manufacturing efficiency and stability.

Requirements

Technical skills and professional attributes; preferred items noted.

  • Must-have: Strong digital or analog circuit fundamentals and understanding of test methodology and DFT concepts.
  • Preferred: Experience with silicon bring-up and ATE (automatic test equipment).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with scan/ATPG methodologies.
  • Preferred: Experience with test program validation, STIL to pobj conversion, and developing test modules (CMT/HMDT).
  • Self-motivated, with demonstrated collaboration and leadership skills; awareness of test industry trends.

Education Requirements
