Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and validate full-chip test methods and on-chip DFT for Intel FPGA products. The role focuses on test vector generation, coverage analysis, ATE program development, and first-silicon debug to ensure product quality and manufacturability.

Work within cross-functional global teams (design, software, manufacturing, product engineering) to drive test capability, optimize test cost, and accelerate manufacturing stability.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing test infrastructure, collaborating with multiple engineering teams, and supporting production test and bring-up.

• Define and verify on-chip DFT and Design-for-Test strategies.
• Generate test vectors and perform coverage analysis (full-chip).
• Develop and validate ATE programs and test modules (CMT/HMDT).
• Convert test patterns (e.g., STIL to pobj) and validate test programs on testers.
• Lead first-silicon debug and silicon bring-up activities.
• Collaborate with designers, software, manufacturing, and product engineering to improve testability and manufacturing yield.
• Drive test optimizations to reduce cost, improve product quality, and accelerate manufacturing stability.

Requirements

• Strong digital or analog circuit fundamentals.
• Understanding of scan/ATPG test methodology is advantageous.
• Experience with ATE, test program validation, and silicon bring-up is preferred.
• Familiarity with test-industry trends and technologies.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
