Role Summary

The Probe Line Sustaining Manager leads sustaining engineering and maintenance for wafer probe manufacturing equipment, ensuring equipment availability, operational efficiency, setup performance, and equipment-related yield across the probe area.

This role provides technical and organizational leadership for sustaining activities and partners with Manufacturing, Product and Process Engineering, Quality, Hardware and Test Systems Engineering, and equipment suppliers to meet OEE, output, quality, and cost targets.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include ownership of equipment performance, sustaining engineering leadership, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Own equipment availability, OEE, setup performance, and equipment-related yield for the probe manufacturing area.
  • Provide technical and organizational leadership for sustaining engineering and equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Drive capability development and continuous improvement initiatives to improve output, quality, and cost.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality, Hardware and Test Systems Engineering, and equipment suppliers.
  • Manage vendor relationships for equipment support, spare parts, and upgrades.
  • Oversee sustaining engineering team activities and prioritize maintenance and improvement work.
  • Travel as required (approximately 10%).

Requirements

Must-have experience and skills for successful performance in this role.

  • Proven experience managing sustaining engineering or maintenance for wafer probe or semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance strategies, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and meeting OEE/output/quality targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality groups.
  • Experience managing relationships with equipment suppliers and vendors.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Nice-to-have: experience with test systems engineering, hardware engineering, or semiconductor process engineering.
