Role Summary
The Principal/Sr. Principal Digital Design Engineer role involves full life-cycle product development from system concepts and requirements through design, production, verification, and field support. You will be part of a diverse team responsible for research, design, and development of digital hardware products utilizing the latest FPGA technologies.
Experience Level
Senior level with a minimum of 8 years of digital electronics design experience, or 6 years with a Master's degree; Principal level requires a minimum of 5 years or 3 years with a Master's degree.
Responsibilities
As a Principal/Sr. Principal Digital Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Research, design, and develop digital hardware products.
- Utilize digital circuit design experience, including simulation, schematic capture, testing, and integration.
- Perform hands-on prototyping and debugging of complex digital subsystems.
- Translate system performance into hardware requirements and specifications.
- Work with documentation and revision control systems.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.
- US Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Experience with digital circuit design and testing.
- Familiarity with documentation and revision control systems like DOORS and ClearCase.
Nice-to-have qualifications include:
- An advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Knowledge of Electronic Warfare systems.
- Recent experience with circuit design tools such as Cadence Concept and Allegro.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
