Role Overview
The Principal Signoff Methodology Engineer at Arm will engage in developing automated environments for timing, IR, thermal, and reliability analysis in silicon design. This hands-on engineering role involves writing production-quality code, designing automation flows, and integrating AI-driven techniques to enhance signoff methodology.
Experience Level
The candidate should have between 8 to 12 years of experience in SoC signoff or physical implementation methodology, particularly in STA timing, reliability, and IR analysis, working with advanced technology nodes.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include:
- Developing and coding advanced signoff and implementation methodologies.
- Designing and standardizing Static Timing Analysis (STA) and signoff features.
- Architecting and automating signoff methodologies for accurate and efficient analysis.
- Building and maintaining automation frameworks with machine learning integration.
- Collaborating with design teams and EDA partners to enhance methodologies.
- Creating data pipelines and visualization tools for monitoring metrics.
- Innovating signoff methodologies for advanced process technologies and multiphysics effects.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Strong programming skills in Python, TCL, or similar languages.
- A deep understanding of timing closure and reliability modeling.
- Knowledge of machine learning and statistical analysis.
- Experience collaborating with EDA vendors.
Education Requirements
A Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferable.
