Principal / Senior Manager, Digital Design Engineering
Role Summary
Lead SoC execution from specification through silicon for complex SoCs and digital systems. Responsible for technical strategy, architecture and product roadmaps, and serving as a technical authority across multiple hardware domains.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure first-time-right silicon delivery and align technical direction with business objectives.
Experience Level
Senior level β typically 12+ years of relevant semiconductor design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, end-to-end silicon delivery, and cross-functional coordination.
- Define product and technology roadmaps and drive long-term technical strategy.
- Evaluate and select IP, vendors, and foundry process nodes.
- Author and drive top-level SoC architecture including interconnects, memory hierarchy, power management, and micro-architecture.
- Lead SoC execution from concept through definition, tape-out, and productization.
- Ensure PPA (power, performance, area, cost) targets are met and optimize designs accordingly.
- Govern silicon sign-off activities: synthesis, DFT, constraints, timing closure, and physical design tape-out.
- Coordinate across Design (RTL), Verification, DFT, Physical Design, Power, and Silicon Validation teams.
- Collaborate with software, systems, manufacturing, and program management to mitigate risks and manage stakeholders.
- Participate in executive decision-making and stakeholder communications.
- Travel as required (approximately 10%).

- Authority in complex SoC architecture design and implementation.
- Practical expertise across multiple hardware domains (RTL, DFT, PD, verification, power, Si validation).
- Strong business acumen and ability to align technical roadmaps with business goals.
- Recognized industry expertise and ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel (~10%).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; typically 12+ years of relevant semiconductor design experience.
