The Principal Product Engineer will work within the Digital and Signoff Group at Cadence, collaborating with R&D and Customer Engagement teams to influence the development of software tools for advanced chip design platforms.
Experience Level
Senior level, with 7-12 years of experience in IC design and physical design flow.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Influencing the development of software tools for advanced chip design platforms.
- Testing, validating, and deploying Innovus software for key customers.
- Collaborating with R&D to discuss results and future developments of Innovus' features.
- Working with cross-functional teams, including physical design, synthesis, and signoff.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Requirements
Applicants must possess the following:
- Strong knowledge of IC design and physical design flow.
- Experience with EDA tools such as Cadence Innovus, Cadence Genus, and Cadence Cerebrus.
- Proficiency in Tcl, Perl, or Python scripting languages.
- Strong understanding of physical design constraints including power, clock, placement, routing, and timing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements
BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech or equivalent is required.
