Principal Product Development Engineer — Power MOSFET

Role Summary

Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to design, develop, qualify and release new Power MOSFET products that meet customer, manufacturability and reliability requirements.

Accountable for technical leadership, project delivery and production-ready documentation across product families or complex technology platforms.

Experience Level

Senior (Principal level). The role specifies approximately 8 years of experience in semiconductors or a related field.

Responsibilities

Responsible for end-to-end product development activities and project leadership to deliver products to market on schedule and to quality standards.

• Lead project teams to deliver new product families, complex products or technology platforms to defined timelines.
• Ensure product releases meet manufacturability, reliability, customer and market requirements in collaboration with product marketing, process development, assembly and industrial functions.
• Provide technical support for product specifications, justification of new developments, and responses to customer technical enquiries and complaints.
• Serve as project manager or technical consultant across one or multiple projects.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of product release processes, simulation and design methods, and relevant project systems.
• Produce clear technical reports, characterization data and product documentation required for release.

Requirements

Core technical and professional skills required for the role.

• Expert understanding of electrical operation and device structure of Power MOSFETs.
• Practical knowledge of fab processes, packaging flow and design process for new products.
• Experience with reliability methods, failure modes and Design of Experiments (DoE).
• Proficiency with device simulation tools, characterization techniques and data analysis.
• Ability to produce clear, concise technical reports and product documentation.
• Project planning, organisation and delivery within budgets and timelines.
• Leadership, mentoring of junior engineers and effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and customer interactions.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with end-to-end product release processes and tooling for product lifecycle management.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a closely related technical field (as specified in the job posting).
