Principal Product Application Engineer

Role Summary

Drive adoption and design wins for Nexperia BG MOS products across Taiwan, India and the Southeast Pacific by providing technical support, training, and product feedback to customers, account managers and distributors.

Work with marketing and business teams to identify opportunities, influence roadmaps, and increase visibility in target markets.

Experience Level

Senior-level role. The posting requests preferably 3–5 years of experience in power electronics applications.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Work with account managers, business development, FAEs and distributors to grow MOS design pipelines in the region.
• Serve as product expert for BG MOS products and roadmaps; provide tier‑2 technical support and training.
• Build trusted relationships with design engineers directly and via intermediaries.
• Capture and communicate customer requirements, white‑spots, roadmap requests and NPI opportunities.
• Identify emerging applications and prospective high‑value customers.
• Monitor competitor activity and regional market trends.
• Support marketing initiatives and represent Nexperia at technical events and speaking opportunities.
• Promote and use advanced support tools (models, evaluation systems, technical documentation).
• Create application design materials such as schematics, demo boards and simulations.
• Contribute technical content to drive awareness and demand among customer design communities.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications.

• Must: 3–5 years practical experience in power electronics applications (AC/DC conversion, motor control, battery management, energy storage, etc.).
• Must: Familiarity with electronic product design processes, component selection and qualification.
• Must: Excellent communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills; strong written and verbal English.
• Must: Self-motivated, results-driven, team player; willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with MOSFETs and related III‑V technologies.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in industrial/commercial applications; automotive experience is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
