Job Title

Principal Power and Performance Architect

Role Summary

Lead architecture and productization of system-level power management and optimization across silicon, platform, and software for NVIDIA products. Define power features, modeling and measurement methodologies, and drive cross-functional execution from architecture through silicon and product release.

Position is on the Silicon Solutions Team. Hybrid work arrangement based in Santa Clara, CA.

Experience Level

Senior — Principal level. Requires approximately 15+ years of relevant experience in silicon and product power and power management.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Architect next-generation power management features and system solutions; define requirements and productize features.
  • Evaluate industry trends and use cases to shape the power roadmap.
  • Drive system-level power optimizations across silicon, platform, software, manufacturing, and product systems.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to manage power feature requirements, schedules, and incorporate silicon feedback into future designs.
  • Develop power modeling, measurement, and characterization methodologies; correlate silicon behavior with simulations and provide design feedback.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, firmware/software engineers, ATE, manufacturing, sales, and operations to deliver products.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in silicon and product power and power management.
  • Deep expertise in silicon power, transistor/device physics, power modeling and measurement, and active power management.
  • Experience with product-level power and performance analysis and optimization.
  • Experience working with offshore teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, partnership, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with silicon bringup and validation; frequency and power characterization; hands-on post-silicon experience.
  • Background in datacenter product segments.
  • Exposure to CPU/GPU/SoC architecture and HW–SW co-design.

Education Requirements

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Base salary range: 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD (location- and experience-dependent). Eligible for equity and benefits.
