Role Summary

The Principal Member of Technical Staff (PMTS) will lead SoC emulation efforts for next-generation AMD SOC products. This role encompasses defining emulation strategies, ensuring technical excellence, and delivering high-performance emulation platforms that facilitate early software development and mitigate silicon risks.

Experience Level

15+ years in the fields of SoC design, verification, emulation, or hardware/software co-development is required. Significant hands-on experience with SoC emulation platforms is essential.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the PMTS include:

• Owning the SoC emulation strategy for major AMD SoC programs.
• Defining scope, milestones, and success criteria aligned with project schedules.
• Leading the bring-up of full-chip emulation on enterprise platforms like Palladium or Veloce.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of emulation goals.
• Providing mentoring and best practices to raise emulation capabilities within the team.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep hands-on experience with SoC-level emulation platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SoC architectures and RTL methodologies.
• Expertise in SystemVerilog/Verilog, and various scripting languages.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related discipline is preferred.
