Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Principal IP Design Engineer include:

  • Contributing to the Security IP Roadmap by translating architecture goals into actionable project plans.
  • Leading design initiatives for complex IP cores and subsystems.
  • Overseeing the delivery of Security IP, from micro-architecture to integration phases.
  • Setting design quality standards and optimizing processes for successful project outcomes.
  • Incorporating security features directly into engineering workflows and maintaining accountability.
  • Tracking project execution to ensure alignment with established plans.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather feedback and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • A Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in related fields with varying years of experience (3+, 6+, or 8+ years respectively).
  • Ability to meet Microsoft’s security screening requirements.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • 15+ years in hardware design and 10+ years in synthesis and timing analysis.
  • Expertise in Digital Design and experience with advanced technologies.
  • Familiarity with cryptography algorithms and experience with industry certifications like NIST.

Education Requirements

Applicants must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
