Role Summary
As a Principal Implementation Engineer within Arm's Solutions Engineering group, you will play a key role in developing sophisticated CPUs, GPUs and SoCs, defining chip design techniques, and creating design flows that influence Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools.
Experience Level
7+ years of proven experience in ASIC Implementation with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design teams to establish timing constraints essential for implementation.
- Oversee synthesis, physical design, and implementation of CPU and GPU cores, system interconnect, and other Arm IP.
- Analyze timing, area, and power to enhance the quality of Arm IP.
- Develop methodologies to boost implementation efficiency and results.
- Support detailed implementation analysis and data-mining techniques.
- Collaborate with RTL design teams for analysis and optimization of IP.
- Transform R&D concepts into practical implementation solutions.
- Assist partners in achieving optimal quality of results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Over 7 years in ASIC Implementation, including synthesis, timing constraints, UPF, and physical design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate insights.
- Experience in creating and implementing silicon methodologies with international teams.
- Familiarity with the entire IC design flow, including RTL to GDS2, and proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, R, Make, and shell scripting.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant technical fields.
